Welcome!

Hello!  I'm Jessica M. Hinnenkamp, a wedding, baby & family photographer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I love to utilize sunlight, shadows, camera angles and texture in every shot to achieve the highest level of quality and creativity in any location!  This blog is a way for me to share some of my latest sessions with the world along with updates about JM Photography and current promotions.

Emme | Twin Cities Newborn Photographer

Emme’s full name is Emelia Miette, her middle name is french and means “sweet, little one” which is very fitting for her.  Little Emme was born at 31 weeks weighing just 2lbs. 8oz. and 14 inches long.  Such a peanut, but as I found out today she is definitely a little fighter and fiesty. Mom said the nurses at the NICU said the same thing about her too!  She’s been home for a few weeks now with her parents and is almost 5lbs! She is by far the tiniest baby I’ve photographed to date.  But she was a sweet angel and we captured some beautiful photos of her in my studio. She is many firsts for me, smallest baby to date, first baby to be photographed in my new studio and first baby to try out my vintage baby carriage!!  It was a great day :)

Stella is one of my Grow with Me clients and she had her 9 month session today.  We had such a great session, she’s such a beautiful baby.  Mom Elizabeth joined in for some photos too and I just love how they turned out!  Nothing like the love between a mommy and her daughter :)

Peyton is one of my grow with me clients and I just adore her! We had her 9 month session today. She is so beautiful and she is always sporting the most adorable outfits.

Charlie | Eden Prairie Newborn Photographer

Little Charlie decided to surprise his mommy and daddy by arriving 4 weeks early.  I wasn’t set to take his photos until mid-march but he had other plans.  Luckily I always leave time open in my schedule for things like this.  If it’s one thing I’ve learned with newborn photography is that we are on BABY’s schedule, not the other way around :) Charlie was just a little peanut at 6lbs 11oz.  I was very excited for this session because I got to try out another one of my new hats!
